Effects of Heat Conduction on Blocking off the Super-Eddington Growth of Black Holes at High Redshift

چکیده

Abstract We investigate the effect of conductive heating gas surrounding a geometrically thick accretion disk on growth black hole (BH) at high redshift. If BH is accreting super-Eddington rate, X-ray radiation from vicinity would be highly anisotropic due to self-shielding disk, and then radiative feedback medium suppressed in equatorial region, within which can continue. However, if this region sufficiently heated via thermal conduction adjacent that not shielded by irradiation, becomes isotropically hot, Bondi rate become sub-Eddington. evaluate condition under such isotropic realized derive new criteria required for accretion.

Rapid growth of high redshift black holes

We discuss a model for the early assembly of supermassive black holes (SMBHs) at the center of galaxies that trace their hierarchical build-up far up in the dark halo ‘merger tree’. Motivated by the observations of luminous quasars around redshift z ≈ 6 with SMBH masses ≈ 10M⊙, we assess the possibility of an early phase of stable super-critical quasi-spherical accretion in the BHs hosted by me...

Constraints from Gravitational Recoil on the Growth of Supermassive Black Holes at High Redshift

Recent studies have shown that during their coalescence, binary supermassive black holes (SMBHs) experience a gravitational recoil with velocities of 100 km s ∼< vkick ∼< 600 km s . These velocities exceed the escape velocity vesc from typical dark matter (DM) halos at high–redshift (z ∼> 6), and therefore put constraints on scenarios in which early SMBHs grow at the centers of DM halos. Here w...

Comptonization in Super-eddington Accretion Flow and Growth Timescale of Supermassive Black Holes

Super-Eddington accretion onto black holes (BHs) may occur at Ultra-Luminous compact X-ray sources in nearby galaxies, Galactic microquasars and narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies (NLS1s). Effects of electron scattering (opacity and Comptonization) and the relativistic correction (gravitational redshift and transverse Doppler effect) on the emergent spectra from super-Eddington accretion flows onto...
